Prime Minister Paul Evans presented the Special Coordinator for Haiti at the US State Department the top priorities for his government.

Port-au-Prince, Wednesday, 21 January 2015.- The Prime Minister Paul Evans, had, on Wednesday, at the Prime Minister, an important meeting with the Special Coordinator for Haiti at the US State Department, Tom Adams.

The meeting took place in the presence of US Ambassador Pamela White, around issues related to the organization of elections, budget support and anti-government protests. The head of consensus government took the opportunity to renew the commitment of the administration Martelly / Paul to create conditions for social stability, healing, essential for credible elections, transparent and democratic this year .

To this end, the government reiterated to his interlocutor's willingness to fund political parties to participate in the upcoming games, according to criteria that the authorities and members of the parties will have to be defined. For his part, Mr. Adams assured the Haitian government financial support of the US for the electoral process.

In another vein, the Government of the Republic is planning to take measures to rectify the budget this fiscal year and increased tax revenues. These measures will also be to finance priority projects to be identified. Furthermore, the Government intends to establish an interministerial committee to fight against corruption.
