A small 4.6 magnitude earthquake shook Haiti's eastern coast Monday night at 9:46 PM local time. Many people reportedly felt the grounds trembling, but there are no reports of injures and damages on this Caribbean island still recovering from a devastating earthquake in 2010 which killed more than 300.000 people.

The Technical Unit of Seismology (UTS) of the Bureau of Mines and Energies (MBE) under the wings of the Ministry of Environment and the Permanent Secretariat for Risk and Disaster Management (SPGRD) confirms  that the epicenter of the quake was located at sea, about 108.4 km south of the city of Bellanse and 111.8 km Southeast of the town of Marigot in Jacmel.
