Panamanian organizers of the Summit of the Americas are apologizing for hoisting the wrong flag during the ceremonial arrival Friday, of President Michel Martelly of Haiti.

Martelly, one of the last leaders to arrive at the regional gathering, was taken aback to find the flag of Canada floating along the carpet from his plane to the airport.

Visibly confused by the incident, Panama's interior minister, urged the Haitian president to walked over to journalists gathered on the tarmac , to thank Panama for the invitation.

As to make matter worse, the President was not able to address the journalists, because his microphone was not functioning.
