President of Haitian Senate to make six days official visit in Vietnam

The President of the Haitian Senate, Yourie Latortue, is expected to start his official six days visit in Vietnam, Saturday June 17.

The visit came following a formal invitation by the chairwoman of the National Assembly of the Indochinese country, Nguyen Thi Kim Nga, according to the Foreign Relations committee of parliament.

Vietnam and Haiti established diplomatic relations on September 26, 1997 and Haiti opened its embassy in the vietnamese Capital in 2013. 

Natcom, one of only two cellphone companies in Haiti is a joint venture between Vietnamese mobile operator Viettel and the Haitian government, it opened its services to the public in 2011.
