Vice President Pence with President Jovenel Moise of Haiti

Haitian President Jovenel Moise, yesterday met with the Vice-President of the United States, Mike Pence, on the sidelines of the Investment Summit of the Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida, which ends Saturday.


The two leaders discussed at length the importance of pursuing and economic reform agenda to attract investment and generate growth in Haiti. The American Vice-president also reiterated the commitment of the Trump administration to help Haiti strengthen Its public institutions, especially the national police as well as the coast guard.

President Moise also discussed with the American Vice-President, the same migration issues which were raised during last month's brief visit of US Homeland Security Secretary, John Kelly.
