The representative of the 42nd District in the House of Representatives State of New York Rodneyse Bichotte, of Haitian descent denounced and condemned yesterday during a press conference in parliament headquarters in Albany, injustice and denationalization of hundreds of thousands of Dominicans born in the Dominican Republic, following the judgment adopted by the Constitutional Court of that country 23 September 2013.

"Today, elected officials, human rights activists, we call on the House of Representatives to vote in favor of emergency" K376 draft resolution "that supports respect for human and civil rights in one of our neighboring countries, the Dominican Republic " launched the MP Bichotte surrounded by over twenty representatives from Haitian, US and Dominican organizations of the State of New York.

In this draft resolution a copy of which was received in our newsroom, "the State of New York asked the Dominican government to" guarantee the full citizenship rights of all domininicains of Haitian descent living in the Dominican Republic " .

During this press conference,  Rodneyse Bichotte recalled the recent measures adopted by the Dominican authorities (Constitutional Court in September 2013 with 168 to 13 stop and Naturalization Law 169-14 of May 2014 Congress) , measures that have virtually created a situation of statelessness and legal insecurity for hundreds of thousands of Dominicans of foreign origin; with the majority being Haitians.

"As citizens of the State of New York, ardent defenders of civil rights, we firmly believe that human rights are fundamental rights inherent to all human beings without any consideration," said the representative of the 42nd District in the House of State officials in New York said that "bear all those struggling against injustice and intolerance."

Further, the member denounced the "intolerable situation of more than 200,000 Dominicans of Haitian origins" victims of , she said "discriminatory measures by the Dominican Government" while deploring the fact that solutions to their problems are slow in coming.

To restore the rights of those affected by the recent measures adopted by the Dominican authorities, Rodneyse Bichotte invited to learn the lessons of the Holocaust. "As the fallen Jewish nationality, Dominicans of Haitian origin are facing the same situation of statelessness" she insisted.

This is a dangerous precedent that should challenge the international community so that history does not repeat itself, concluded the Rodneyse Bichotte MP who announces indefinite hunger strike until the House of Representatives adopts resolution expressing K376 the New York State firm support for civil and human rights of Dominicans of Haitian origin are respected in the same way as other citizens of this country.

At five weeks of the expiration of the regularization program of foreign national more than 200,000 Dominicans of Haitian origin may be expelled from the Dominican Republic to Haiti. Indeed, according to information provided earlier this month by Garr (Support Group for Returnees and Refugees) on 183.000 foreigners registered in NWRP (National Plan for the Regularization of Foreigners) only 400 residence cards were given to those concerned with migrant and migrants from other nationalities "origin.

On the side of the border the Haitian government occupied in pre-election management, wicker Haitian migrants went unfortunately into the background with the double resignation Duly Brutus for Foreign Affairs and Olicier Pieriche the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad.

We hear no more of the Program for Identification and Documentation of Haitians immigrants (PIDIH) launched last fall by Laurent Lamothe team.
