On Saturday, Haiti was hit by a 4.4 magnitude earthquake but there are no reports of deaths, injured or serious damages.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the quake occurred at 1 AM local time and the epicenter was in the Southwest part of the country. Some 51 km northwest of Les Cayes and 35 km southwest of Jeremie.
The quake was also felt in the capital port-au-Prince, where it caused panic in many neighborhoods.
In 2010, a 7.0 earthquake destroyed much of Port-au-Prince and killed over 200.000 people.
Haiti is presently recovering from widespread devastation of last month's Hurricane Matthew. The town of Les Cayes and Jeremie, the epicenter of Saturday's earthquake, are the most severely affected by the storm. 90% of all the homes were completely destroyed or greatly damaged.
