Haitian and Dominican specialists of health protection services, supported international assistance continue to assess the situation for the release of a second report to determine what should be taken as another measure.
The Ministry informed "any trader, any importer, any producer and all the general population of the temporary ban on the importation of a variety of fruits and vegetables from the Dominican Republic," reads the press release .
In early June 2013, a ban on poultry products from the Dominican Republic has been taken by the Haitian government because of the existence of very acute respiratory infection outbreaks in neighboring countries.
This ban import of eggs had not been fully respected in several border regions, including Toman, a town not far from Ganthier Fund-Parisien (West Department).
