Former Haitian President Jean Bertrand Aristide is currently being heard as a witness in the office of Judge Jean Wilner Morin.
Aristide was initially due to appear before the magistrate March 16, but his lawyers had requested a postponement until March 20, a demand that was granted by judge Jean Wilner Morin.
Jean Bertrand Aristide is invited to appear as a witness in the context of the investigation opened following the report of UCREF, a government agency, accusing one of his relatives, the entrepreneur Jean Anthony Nazaire, of money laundering.
The former president had already been summoned twice without presenting himself.
