Royal Caribbean cuises are back at Labadee after incident

The cruise ships of Royal Caribbean are back to the famous Labadee, the beautiful white sandy beaches in Cap-Haitien, after an unfortunate incident last week that forced the Freedom of the Seas to turn around before the 4.000 tourists onboard could be landed.


A hundred people aboard small wooden boats circled the ship protesting against the recent reduction of jobs at the local of the port.

More and more Canadian tourists are visiting Haiti

Although its white sand beaches can compete anywhere in the Caribbean, Haiti's troubled past has relegated the Pearl of the Antilles far behind its neighbors when it comes to tourism.

However, the government is trying to change this situation, and the steps seem to be working. The influx of tourists has jumped 20% in 2013, according to new data released by the Ministry of Tourism.
