Dutch and Colombian ships made available to Haiti to distribute aid

The Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities said in a statement that the two vessels flying the Dutch flag, "The Pelikaan" and "Holland" and the Colombian boat "ARC 7 Argusto", made available to the Haitian government, completed a first phase of their humanitarian supply mission to the Great South coasts.

Haiti's interim government cancels taxes on money transfers, that were meant to finance free primary education

The interim government seems to have ended the collection of $ 1.50 in taxes on money transfers to Haiti.


Like many Haitians living in the diaspora, I sometimes both money to my family and friends still living in Haiti. Haiti's president will not resign May 14th, as stipulated by many

Interim President of Haiti Jocelerme Privert has put to rest all the calls for him to resign on May 14; the date when an elected president is supposed to take office, under a political agreement last minute that Privert, the then president of the Senate had signed with incumbent President Michel Martelly, to bring the country out of an electoral quagmire.

Enex Jean Charles ratified as Haiti's Prime Minister by both houses of Parliament

The 
recently appointed Prime Minister of Haiti Enex Jean Charles was ratified by both houses of parliament. Late last night, the Senate held its hearing on the general policy of Jean Charles, and at dawn this morning, the Chamber of Deputies also approved the former adviser of Rene Preval as the new Prime Minister of Haiti. Jean Charles needed the vote of at least 75 members; 78 have voted in favor, one against and two abstained.

Haiti's interim president Jocelerme Privert, has announced via twitter his designation of Enex Jean Charles as the new Prime Minister as his previous pick Fritz-Alphonse Jean was rejected by parliament.

Haiti's interim president will designate prime minister today

Today, the interim president of Haiti will appoint a new prime minister with a mission to do everything necessary to complete the electoral process twice canceled due to allegations of fraud and violence. Confirmed the office of the president.
