An official investiture ceremony of the Prime Minister at the National Palace preceded the installation of the new head of the Haitian government at the office of the Prime Minister, located at Boulevard Harry Truman (Downtown), where he replaces Enex Jean-Charles.
The ceremony for the installation of the new Prime Minister took place after the ratification of his general policy statement in the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies on Monday, 20 March and Thursday, 16 March 2017 respectively, after marathon sessions.
Installation ceremonies for several new ministers are taking place from Wednesday 22 March 2017.
They occur more than a month and a half, after the inauguration of the elected president, Jovenel Moïse to the highest supreme magistracy of the country, on February 7, 2017.
The Head of State emphasized the dimension of the responsibilities that await the members of the government, on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Prime Minister.
"There are many problems, but we have to move fast and well (...). Everyone must understand that the change to be implemented requires rigor, a sense of duty, honor and incorruptibility. "
For his part, the prime minister emphasizes that the dark picture of the reality of the country only strengthens his conviction as a citizen committed to working alongside the president of the republic to modernize the state and respond to "the desiderata of the Haitian people."
The country is currently facing serious socio-economic difficulties such as inflation and insecurity.
