About 30 prisoners escaped from a jail in Saint Marc, a provincial town 60 miles north of Haiti's capital Port-au-Prince.
Early Monday morning, police guards at the jail in Saint Marc discovered that the bars of the cells where the men were thought to be sleeping, sawed off, according to the Haitian National Police investigator Charles Roubins, who is in charge of the case.
Authorities are still not sure about the exact number of prisoners who may have escaped, and no details about these possible dangerous criminals have yet been released, but authorities will release the information about the prisoners to the local media as soon as they become available to help apprehend them as quickly as possible.
