A Police officer attached to the National Prison Administration (APENA) was shot dead Monday night around 8 pm at the St Martin street. He had received nearly a dozen bullets, learned Haitian Press Network via witnesses.
The policeman whose identity has not yet been released, was from the 24th promotion of the National Police of Haiti; he was en route to visit his mother who inhabit the area, when he was attacked by men on motorcycles.
According to reports, Haitian police quickly responded to the scene and have begun an intervention in the area, particularly with a contingent of the operating and departmental Intervention Brigade (boid).
A report is expected to be released by the Haitian National Police with further details on this horrible incident.
