Police officers assigned to the Central Narcotics Directorate (DICAN), took 370 pounds of marijuana and three vehicles to dismantle a drug trafficking network with branches in Haiti, which were part of five suspected drug traffickers, including a Dominican police officer in Jimaní.
He said among those arrested Councilman Luis Domingo Medina Trinidad, Luis Raul Reyes Alcantara, Ángel Félix Montero, Issa Emmanuel Sena and Miguel Angel Rivas Feliz, who are interviewed by staff DICAN and public prosecutors.
The institution of the order said that now prevent drugs trafficked from Haiti, then distributed to neighborhoods of the capital and Santo Domingo province.
Among the sectors in which it operated the network include Capotille, Gualey, Guachupita, Los Mina, Sabana Perdida, Ensanche Isabelita, Los Tres Ojos, as well as in Boca Chica War and municipalities.
It was reported that the drug was transported by boat from Haiti through Lake Enriquillo. Once in Dominican territory, the marijuana was transported in the SUV Toyota 4Runner, silver, plate G289711; Honda car, gold plate A549847 and Honda Accord, green, plate A413904,
